Is the perfect city escape from Dar es salaam outside the tourist track? The former name was Mogo forest, and a part of this area is considered to be one of the oldest forests in the world. Its an evergreen forest with over 80 species of birds so this is also a bird watcher paradise.

Activities
There several hiking trails to choose from. Its possible to hike to the viewpoint where you can see the whole city, beautiful forest and a lake where you can canoe with our beautiful kayak. If you like we can visit the cave which is famous for its colony of bats,
There is also an area with abandon industrial structures which can be very good for creative photo shoots. It’s a birdwatcher paradise and get to see a variety of elegant birds.
Village walk; we will walk through the neighbor village and get a chance to interact with locals and hear unique traditional stories. We shall also get to meet people from different ethnic groups and learn about their customs and way of life. And we don’t forget to visit to the Pugu secondary school where Julius Nyerere (Tanzania’s first President) was working as a teacher before to ventured into politics fulltime.
